The Late Harvest Zinfandel is always an extremely intense expression of Zinfandel character.  Only made following what is refered to as an Indian Summer, when the weather allows the grapes to stay on the vine, beginnig fermintation prior to harvest.   With such high levels of sugar at harvest, this wine frequently stops fermenting on its own.  This process combined with the high sugar content produces an unfortified port style wine.  This after dinner desert wine is wonderful with many choices ranging from bitter sweet chocolate to peaches.  Call for pricing.
